Adieu, my dear friend!!!


Not everyone born on the Earth think that they are born for a cause and their responsibility is to fulfill it no matter what ever the situation is. Life is not a easy bed of roses, you are supposed to pass through the thorns in life to reach a stage. Life moves on and it makes you meet various people who teach you, use you, cheat you and etc...and also teaches you to live no matter you have the best or worst.
One such Dynamic person whom I met in Life was Dr.Ravi Paturi, Principal of Aurora Degree College. I still remember the first day of my college, the calm girl who hardly mingles with others and faced a culture shock. I had very rare moments to spend time with Dr.Ravi Paturi in the first two years of college, but yes i did had the greatest moments in life with our Principal which has shaped me to be the Best of ME.
It was my third year of graduation at Aurora and i happened to be one of the Mentors in the student body along with Eleven of them. We all of them were supposed to meet Dr.Ravi paturi to share our work experiences and also moving with new ideas to encourage students. Every time we meet sir, it was a challenge for us to meet his expectations and was surprising to learn from such a knowledgeable person. He believed that every person has their own talents and they must focus on it to get the best of their lives. He is one such person who can tell anything and everything or atleast put you in contact with those people whom you are searching for. A very charismatic leader and a dynamic professional who never was disturbed or horrified by anti elements.
I would like to tell you few experiences which i had with him....
It was after my first year exams, that me and few other friends were in college to give application forms to the freshers. Yes we were even paid for that. People who are reading this might think it a little weird, but in our case we never thought as we felt belonging to Aurora. Every morning Sir comes in to the office and politely responds to every one. Rules and regulations were not applicable to us so we never felt any need of discipline in holidays. But yet we were thought professionalism in a positive way. We had many experiences with various parents coming to us and inquiring details about courses. We passed on the info we had and sometimes were also victim due to anger of some. But Ravi sir, would always pat us not to get scared and would tell the parents that they are students and handle them softly so as they may not get hurt.Such was his heights of understanding and dealing with people in and around.
We had to face one such situation where a political element was pressurizing sir to give admission to one of the dull and lazy student. Situation was that there was also a poverty stricken family awaiting outside to get a seat in Aurora for their brilliant son. I was silently observing as i had nothing to tell or not in a position to do. Just waiting for sir response. Dr.Ravi has immediately gave the seat to the Brilliant student and did his responsibility. Then what about the other one, yes there was a continuous calls from them and they came to sir cabin next day. Sir was efficient enough to explain them politely what made him to give away the seat to brilliant student. At last, they have to accept it. Probably they were many such situations which pressurized him to deal with such kind of issues.... Yes, he handled it and DEFEATED the situations.
Every year Ganesh Chaturthi at Aurora College is a feast to the students and the ones staying around the campus. We had poojas performed and a classical skit or music being played every day so as to please Lord to get us good scores. We also danced and rejoiced the last day of Nimarjanam where girls and guys from all departments come together and rejoiced. I dont know what would other college management would comment, but our management was efficient enough to encourage in all aspects. Like this we had many experiences sweet and sour with Aurora college and our dear princi Dr.Ravi Paturi. Every encomium from him and every disciplinary action from him always was for the best of our future and bring the best of us in life. Dr. Ravi paturi has been the brightest example for us in life to deal with any situation....
But we never thought we had to face a situation which would leave us shocked... Not able to believe that Dr.Ravi Paturi is no more with us, its a sad day for all Aurorians. We had lost the sheen of Aurora who had been with us in all our lives. We dont know why you have left us sir, but we remember you forever. Thanks for all your support and discipline which made to stand me on my legs.... With heavy heart, i bid you ADIEU my Dear friend and guide..... Rest in Peace...
